The short version

The apps listed below collect no personal data, contain no advertising or third-party analytics, and do not track you across apps or websites. Purchases and downloads are handled by Apple through the App Store, under Apple’s privacy policy. Empoc does not receive your name, email address or payment details when you buy an app.

isoBurn

  • Collects no personal data and sends nothing off your Mac. It makes no network connections; Help → isoBurn Support just opens this website in your browser.
  • Reads only the disc images, songs, files and folders you choose, and never changes them. It runs in Apple’s App Sandbox with read-only access to the files you pick.
  • Some burns need a working copy, such as songs converted to CD audio or an image shortened to fit the disc. These are made in isoBurn’s own temporary folder on your Mac and deleted afterwards.
  • Remembers which section you last used, in its own preferences on your Mac.
  • Contains no analytics, advertising, accounts or tracking.

PCD Viewer

  • Collects no personal data and sends nothing off your Mac. It makes no network connections; Help → PCD Viewer Support just opens this website in your browser.
  • Reads only the Photo CD images and folders you choose, and never changes them. It runs in Apple’s App Sandbox and saves only to the folders you choose for exports.
  • While you work, decoded images are kept in PCD Viewer’s own temporary folder on your Mac. They’re deleted when you quit.
  • Remembers your last folders, export format and settings, and colour profile, in its own preferences on your Mac.
  • Contains no analytics, advertising, accounts or tracking.

Disktivity

  • Collects no personal data and sends nothing off your Mac. It makes no network connections.
  • Reads the disk activity counters macOS keeps (how many bytes have been read and written) to decide which color to show. It never reads the contents of your files.
  • Stores one setting, whether Show Text is on, in its own preferences on your Mac. If you turn on Launch at Login, macOS records that in your Login Items.
  • Contains no analytics, advertising or tracking.

Netivity

  • Collects no personal data and sends nothing off your Mac. It makes no network connections of its own.
  • Reads the traffic counters macOS keeps for each network connection (how many bytes have been sent and received) to decide which lights to show. It never sees what is sent, or where.
  • Stores one setting, whether Show Text is on, in its own preferences on your Mac. If you turn on Launch at Login, macOS records that in your Login Items.
  • Contains no analytics, advertising or tracking.

Glyphwright

  • Collects no personal data and sends nothing off your Mac. It makes no network connections.
  • Opens and saves only the font files you choose. It runs in Apple’s App Sandbox, so it cannot read other files on your Mac.
  • Stores one setting in its own preferences on your Mac: whether you have seen the welcome guide.
  • Contains no analytics, advertising, accounts or tracking.

ChipBurner

  • Collects no personal data and sends nothing off your Mac. It makes no network connections and needs no account.
  • Talks only to your XGecu programmer over USB. It opens and saves only the chip files and projects you choose.
  • Remembers your recent projects and favourite chips on your Mac.
  • Contains no analytics, advertising or tracking.

FontROM

  • Collects no personal data and sends nothing off your Mac. It makes no network connections.
  • Reads the fonts you choose, either a file you open or a font installed on your Mac, and saves exports only where you tell it to. It runs in Apple’s App Sandbox, so it cannot read other files on your Mac.
  • Stores your last settings (font, size, characters, format and options) and the preview zoom in its own preferences on your Mac.
  • Contains no analytics, advertising, accounts or tracking.
